Mac OS X hints

  • Quickly switch between applications: Command + Tab
  • Screenshot your whole monitor: Command + Shift + 3
  • Screenshot an area you select: Command + Shift + 4, drag
  • Screenshot a window: Command + Shift + 4, click

  • Use pixels for units: Preferences → Units & Rulers….

Text Editor

  • Turn on line numbers

Cyberduck (FTP Program)

  • Request a shell account at my.newpaltz.edu
  • File → Open Connection, enter shell.newpaltz.edu, your username & password
  • Put files to access in the public_html directory
